By Wesley Shaw (1932 - 2017)
Wes Shaw spent his whole life painting and drawing. Shaw was a native of Philadelphia whose style is firmly in the New Hope School of American Impressionism. The pioneers of the Pennsylvania New Hope School, like Edward Redfield, Daniel Garber, and William Lathrop, left a trail of oneness with the spirit of impressionism with brush and canvas.
"When standing before one of their paintings, one feels the passion through the signature strokes that invite the viewer to share that passion, and carry on and be part of that tradition," said Shaw. Wes Shaw was a graduate of the Art Center of Design in California and frequently exhibits in New York, New Jersey, Massachusetts, and Pennsylvania.
